We were lucky enough to be given tickets to Hertford Theatre’s opening night of The Snow Queen: a Frozen Fairytale. The story that inspired Disney’s Frozen comes to life with a brilliant cast, some great songs, dancing and even SNOW !
We arrived and collected our tickets around half an hour before the show started. The Theatre was buzzing. The decor in the foyer is stunning and very christmassy! We had seats J 8-10 which were brilliant – my daughter is 3 and she had a perfect view. The staff were walking around offering the children seats that raises them up which were brilliant.
The story is of a girl called Gerda and her best friend Kay. Without giving too much away, Kay gets ‘sidetracked’ by the Snow Queen but Gerda never gives up on him! In the end Friendship conquers all, even the Snow Queen. I loved how there were numerous well known fairy tales that popped up along the way. The music and the songs were brilliant – some of my favourite karaoke songs made the cut too which was a bonus !
Brought to you by the same team that created last year’s production of The Astonishing Adventures of Pinocchio. The Snow Queen is the Theatre’s 10th anniversary show and it truly is spectacular !
