The Trefeddian Hotel enjoys the most wonderful location looking out over Aberdyfi (Aberdovey) beach in Wales. The Rooms & Lounges
There are both sea view & hill view rooms with the larger family rooms & superior rooms overlooking the coast. Family rooms can sleep tw adults & up to four children and standard rooms can hold one additional cot or small extra bed, so are suitable for couples with a baby or toddler.
There are four wonderful lounges in the Trefeddian –one is adults only and the other three family-friendly and a yummy homemade afternoon tea with tasty snacks can be eaten in all of the lounges.
The bar is open all day for tea, coffee & drinks and there are lots of lovely local gin & ale on offer.
The indoor pool is great for children to splash around in and for the adults there is a spa bath and on site health & beauty salon offering a good selection of treatments if you fancy a bit of pampering.
Dining
One of the great options with dining is the kid’s early supper, served between 5.15pm & 5.45pm, you simply need to order your choice from the fab kids menu at reception before 5pm. The children can then eat early allowing you to put them to bed and enjoy a relaxing adults only dinner! There is also a listening service available in every bedroom.
The restaurant menu’s are superb and food is available all day from breakfast, through to lunch and a fabulous five course dinner with a wonderful wine list – a food lovers paradise. With sandwiches, snacks & afternoon tea being served in the lounges between these times. Breakfast & dinner are included with the cost of your stay.

Dog Friendly
With Aberdyfi beach & the Snowdonia national park on your doorstep, the Trefeddian is the perfect hotel for long dog walks on the beach or in the countryside. Dogs are allowed in some bedrooms, please mention when booking if you would like to bring your fur baby, at a charge of £12 per night.
Dogs are allowed in the Library & must be kept on a lead.
Children
Children under nine years stay free – when sharing with two adults – and receive breakfast and supper or dinner. As mentioned, there are large family rooms complete with a listening service and cots can be supplied and bottles and food can be warmed.
For older children there is a super indoor games room complete with pool, table tennis & air hockey tables and there is also an outdoor play area for plenty of fun in the fresh air.
There are lots of child friendly activities within five minutes of the hotel, our kids love sandcastle building any time of year and the hotel supplies buckets & spades 😊, have a paddling in the sea, go crabbing or take a wander along the beach.
The Beach
Aberdyfi has 4 miles of golden sand, backed by sand dunes with the shoreline running into the sea of Cardigan Bay. There are plenty of water sports to keep you entertained but if that’s not your thing there are miles of sand to walk & explore and in the summer months there is family entertainment on the beach.
Days Out & activities
There are many beautiful towns & villages to visit including Barmouth & Aberystwyth. If you enjoy a railway adventure, there are plenty to choose from – Tallyllyn Railway, Cambrian Coast Line, Rheidol Railway and Aberystwyth cliff top railway.
