Treworgey Luxury Cottages is a gorgeous little farm-stay located in the South East of Cornwall’s countryside overlooking the Looe River Valley yet, just minutes away from the beautiful Cornish coastline.
Not only is Treworgey a wonderful place to stay for a family holiday in Cornwall, we know, we had a fab holiday there, but the owners are also passionate about the environment and are working hard to make the farm a sustainable holiday destination for families. They won Sliver Award in Cornwall tourism awards for Responsible, Ethical and sustainable Tourism and bronze in the SW awards for the same category. They also have a gold award from Green Tourism Business Assoc. – Well done, guys, it’s such a great thing you are doing!
They invest as much revenue as they can into renewable energies including solar, wind and biomass. All cottages and buildings have a massive biomass boiler, which is fed from 25 acres of biomass that they grow themselves on their farm. The hot water and heating are completely self-sufficient and carbon neutral. Assuring you a sustainable family holiday.

Keeping it local? Every self-catering cottage and farm building has been restored using local materials and companies, and this is something they will continue with on future restoration projects.
They aim to enthuse their passion of caring for the planet to their guests, with the hope that when guests leave, they will take this with them.
This is what makes Treworgey so special, their passion for the environment.
The self-catering cottages are beautifully furbished offering a little luxury in an English country cottage style. Each holiday cottage comes with a private garden and spectacular views and log fires for colder evenings. The Farmhouse (largest of them all) has 6 bedrooms and can sleep up to 11. All other cottages range from 4 bedrooms to 1-bedroom cottages. All cottages are dog friendly so there is no need for the furry ones to miss out.

Guess what? You can even bring your pony! But it doesn’t matter if you want to leave this one at home, they have a fully licensed riding school for all abilities, or you can enjoy a supervised hack through the beautiful countryside. Pony club and kids’ clubs are on offer, beginners are always welcome and even if the little ones just want to give the ponies a friendly cuddle, there are about twenty that need help looking after.
All other animals need feeding and a bit of TLC. During the school holidays there are morning feed runs every weekday at 8:30am outside school holidays things are a little more relaxed with animal feeding time generally being at 9:00am. There are plenty of animals to look after: a Kune Kune pig called Demelza, Dora, Trouble and Katie the goats who love to be stroked and Florence the sheep. Plus, guinea pigs and rabbits who love being fed a little fresh grass. You will also find ducks, chickens and the resident cat Smokey, roaming around.

As well as an indoor playroom and an outdoor playground, they now have a ‘indoor beach’, a playground all on sand in a big barn, so you can build sandcastles when it is snowing. The outdoor swimming pool has amazing views, great for the warmer months and it is heated up to 28 degrees.
