How is everyone feeling? It’s been a tough time in so many different ways for everyone: how have you coped with the kids, entertaining at home and home-schooling? It’s certainly been a bit of a challenge for us and although things are improving it still is sometimes! Our kitchen has been well-used with all the family at home and I have totally lost inspiration on the food front!
We have kept ourselves going with lots of Zoom quizzes, games and chats, exercised every morning with Joe Wicks and walked the dogs lots.
One of our favourite pastimes has been our weekly challenge where family and friends get involved in creating something from a single word or phrase.
Here are a couple of creations

Time
other challenges have involved everyone using the same props, when we can all get hold of them, and creating something special.
One of my faves was the choc bunny and egg challenge on our youngest son’s birthday – there were some amazing creations…
but the Hufford family video stole the show with their Jurassic park style video…
It would be great to see what everyone has been up to. If you want to join in our next challenge we are going to create our own coat of arms using only the things we have at home and making sure everyone’s personality, who’s in lockdown together, is shown. For example, if you have someone in the house who loves coloured socks and someone else who loves bananas, you could make a banana sock statue or a shield or a painting or drawing or a video like the one below…
Whatever takes your fancy. Get other households involved too, give everyone a start and a finish time and then share your creations!
Keep an eye out for our coat of arms challenge later in the week
follow us on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter and share yours using the hash tag #HolidayTotsHomeandAway #HTHAA for short, and we might feature yours too. Above all, have fun keep smiling and stay safe.
