We are LOVING these autumn walks, being outdoors, exploring, taking in all the beautiful views. Then coming home in the evening and settling down, with hot chocolates either playing a game with the family or watching a favourite film – the perfect end to the perfect day!
We are so lucky to live in such a fabulous country, offering so many countryside and seaside walks. We are also lucky we have a number of cosy holiday cottages to stay in throughout the year. We decided to share some beautiful cottages that offer comfy living space with log burners, in fabulous locations.
All cottages listed are family friendly, offer cots, highchairs and stairgates where needed for those wandering toddlers and babies.
Garden House, Gitcombe Estate – Nr Dartmouth, Devon

This is just one of eight luxury 4 & 5 star cottages within the beautiful Gitcombe 14 acre grounds. All cottages range in sizes from sleeping 4 up to sleeping 13 and all offer cosy living space and log burners. Countryside walks right on the doorstep, with a couple of pubs on the way. Nearest beach is a 10 minute drive, as well as Dartmouth also being 10 minutes away. on-site facilities include indoor swimming pool, soft play, sauna and steam room.

Hayloft, Tredethick Farm Cottages – Nr. Lostwithiel, Cornwall

One of eight cottages within the farm, which all have toasty log burners. Farm trail leading through the woods, beautiful fields to the riverside hamlet of St.Winnow. by car reach the Cornish coastline. Lots of animals onsite, feeding mornings, indoor swimming pool, games room, soft play and play barn.
Treeshouses, Dittisham Hideaways – Dittisham, Devon
2 bedrooms, sleeps 2 adults and three children
Stunning treehouses in a woodland oasis with fun triple bunkbed room for the children and private hot tub on each of the decked treehouse terraces. As you can imagine, beautiful woodland walks right on the doorstep, adventure through fields to reach the picturesque village of Dittisham, or jump in the car for a 10 minute drive to scenic and historical port of Dartmouth.
