Summer Infant created the Babble Band, the first wearable baby monitor. We were given one to review and have used it at both home and abroad.
Reviewers: Bronwyn, Kieran and Georgia.
At first glance, the Babble Band is attractive and I was intrigued. I love how it has an adjustable wristband so both myself and my husband can wear it without it being too big or too tight.
The set up is pretty simple, You plug the base in to charge and place the wristband on top. Once fully charged it will last 8 hours which is great when you’re away and need to keep an ear on your little one before going to bed. I wouldn’t recommend using it overnight due to the shorter battery life.
There are 3 settings – audio, vibration and light mode (sound activated LED lights provide a visual cue when there is noise) which is great. It also lets you know if its out of range (this monitor has a range of up to 800 feet) or needs recharging.
I think it’s a great product and have actually started using it at home as im sick of having to unplug the monitor and move it when moving rooms. It was great when my little one was asleep and I needed to hang the washing up outside. I knew if she woke up the Babble Band would alert me.
This product is great when you’re on holiday. Its light and small. One of the biggest Pro’s for me is that you don’t have to go to bed when your kids do.
Pros:
– Light
– Compact
– Wearable
– 3 monitoring modes
– adjustable wristband
Cons:
– Short battery life (upto 8 hours)
Retailing at £39.99 it is a great price for a great monitor.
