Here at Holiday Tots we like to give our followers a range of options; be it glamping, 5 star luxury, private villas – we pride ourselves on having something for everyone. Today we are showcasing some of the properties we work with that offer Kids Clubs. Kids Clubs are great for both the kids and adults – the kids are able to have fun with new friends they’ve made on holiday and parents are able to have a break knowing their kids are safe and having fun. Below is a bit about some of the properties Kids Clubs we feature – our owners have given some ideas and activities you too could try at home. Enjoy and have fun!
Shanti Maurice Resort & Spa
On the beautiful Island of Mauritius – Shanti Maurice Resort & Spa is the ultimate in 5 star luxury. Their Kids club is purpose built in collaboration with Scott Dunn offering a dedicated area for kids aged 4 months – 12 years. It includes a games room and wading pool and there are weekly activities for specific age groups. The Kids Club is free for kids aged 3-12, kids from 4 months – 3 years will need to pay a supplement due to being left in the care of their in house nannies. They are in the process of including a ‘Crew’ program for teenagers over 12 too. It is open from 10am – 10pm.
Pasta Play: An easy activity for the younger kids is to cook up some pasta (all shapes and sizes) you can even colour the pasta with food colouring. It is a great sensory activity (and taste safe too). Give the kids a mirror and have them create a self portrait with the different shapes and coloured pasta.

Why not recreate an Aphrodite Hills Kids club activity at home. You could set up a mini olympics in the park or garden, you will only need a few bits of equipment – hula hoop, some bean bags, egg and spoon. Another option is asetting up a mini pamper session – where you give your little one a pedicure and foot massage. It doesnt need to be super fancy – kids love simple things.

Imagine Roussillon
A tranquil, family friendly micro resort in the South of France. There are only 6 self contained apartments on the resort with a kids club and babysitting available too. A three step solution to keeping the kids busy so the adults can relax. On a typical day at Imagine Roussillon the kids will spend the morning enjoying the Kids Club, after lunch they can enjoy a dip in the heated pools. After the pools the kids can head to the nearby sandy beaches. They offer a structured entertainment programme, but are flexible and happy to personalise their activities – something they’re able to do as they only welcome 6 families at one time.
Why not try this one at home? We have been experimenting with various imagination games, such as getting the children to chalk out different locations on the (tiled) floor eg supermarket, florist, school, park. Then we might ask them to buy some imaginary flowers and deliver them to a friend in the park. The game develops when we invent scenarios such as a dinosaur being let loose in the supermarket, or road works blocking the traffic etc etc. It keeps them amused for ages!
Chateau Les Carrasses
At Chateau Les Carrasses their aim is to provide a no compromise holiday for the whole family. Blending 5 star hotel facilities with self catering accommodation for all families. Activities are based around water play, nature creativity, sports and adventure. The staff are bilingual too. Please note – charges do apply. The kids club has recently been relocated to a shady pine forest above the Chateau. Every morning the kids get to feed the chickens and collect eggs which are available free of charge from reception
One activity the kids love is our puppet shows. Simply made from a cardboard box (it even works with a shoebox), some colouring pens and some tissue paper the kids design a backdrop for the show and then cut out of cardboard their figures and attach to a long piece of cardboard that they can control from above.

Sack races are a great at home activity. You can use old pillow cases. You could even get the kids to paint them to make them their own. Handles can easily be sewn on too, but are not necessary.

Children love blowing bubbles & most adults love bubbles too! This bubble blowing technique is amazing as you get hundreds of tiny bubbles which all form together to create a snake-like pattern. You can also add food dye to make the bubbles extra colourful. You will need: a shallow bowl. water, some washing up liquid, food dye, small plastic water bottle, an old sock (or square piece of material and an elastic band). Mix the washing up liquid with some water. Cut the bottom off the plastic bottle and attache the sock / material. Dip the sock in the liquid and blow through the top of the bottle to make the bubbles.
