Flexible family accommodation styles
There is a total of 44 junior suites and 17 villas all with ocean views and many with direct beach access. Some villas also have private swimming pools. There are ten pairs of interconnecting junior suites available on request too. So there really is a style to suit most families. Junior suites can accommodate two adults and two children sharing a room, and the hotel can arrange for two single beds, bunk beds or cots to be added depending on your configuration. The largest villa is the Shanti Villa with three bedrooms, private swimming pool, garden, dedicated butlers’ quarters and more.
Kids go free with each paying adult
Children from 3 to 11 years of age go free at Shanti Maurice. They can share a suite or villa and have the same meal plan as their parents. There is also, at the time of writing this article, a special offer for families of 45% discount on flat bed and breakfast rates, for family holidays taken up to the end of September 2019.
Two sandy beaches
Shanti Maurice has two private pristine white sandy beaches, one overlooks the lagoon where the waters are calm and ideal for toddlers to have a little splash, and with its own reef perfect to have a little snorkel and the second is more dramatic with waves, ideal for a spot of surf watching.
Kids clubs
The kids’ clubs are open from 10 am to 10pm and the children can drop in any time. There are age appropriate activities in each group: Adventurers (3 to 4 years), Voyagers (5 to 7 years) and Pioneers (8 – 11 years). Meals are provided on a like for like basis with adults and kids can choose to dine with their friends or the adults. There is a supplement for child-care and meals for those aged between 4 months through to 3 years. All other ages up to 12 go free.
Baby service
The Baby Service team is fully equipped with lots of items to help you travel light with babies, some are complimentary. The hotel is able to supply free of charge: bottle steriliser, bottle warmer, 20 metre range monitor, changing mat, cot, high chair, toilet seat adapter, baby bath. For a small fee they have pushchairs, longer range baby monitors, mosquito net and more. They also have a full range of Johnson’s baby products and Pampers nappies, plus baby food and milk. The hotel can also provide babysitting options and medical services. For airport transfers baby seats are provided too.
Family fun on the resort
Shanti Maurice is home to its very own Coral reef where guests can snorkel and explore with 36 acres of beautiful tropical gardens. Variety of family-friendly menus and restaurants
Kids can choose to eat with the adults or dine at their own time in the kids’ club. There are five restaurants to choose from and memorable picnic spots dotted around the 36 acres, so you are spoilt for choice. All meals are cooked using local ingredients, many of which come from the vegetable and herb garden within the resort. The Rum Shed Bar and Grill is traditionally where the locals come together with guests and share stories while dining on mouth-watering traditional foods from the wood fired oven and BBQ.
