We first came across the brand Slipfree before a family holiday to Spain in 2018. We haven’t holidayed without them since. They are amazing around the pool and even better for those hot beach days.
Slipfree® was launched in Turkey in 2014 and they have quickly become a huge global success – sold in over 45 countries worldwide. Designed to put an end to the dangers of hot and slippery surfaces, parents could quickly see that Slipfree® were the answer to keeping little ones safe at the beach, pool & home. We introduced Slipfree® to the UK & Ireland in early 2018 and just receive the most incredible feedback from parents using words like ‘god-send’, ‘life-saver’ & ‘wouldn’t be without them’. We launched our fabulous matching UPF50+ swimwear collection in 2020.
2020 has been a tough year for everyone, what challenges have you faced and have things changed for you and your business:
‘2020 has been quite a year! As a product that is the first thing that many parents pack in their suitcase to give them peace of mind when taking their little ones on holiday, the absence of our customers travelling abroad has actually allowed us to communicate all of the other amazing places that Slipfree® were designed for; such as at home and in the garden, swimming pools and leisure centres and of course the fabulous holidays spots here in the UK & Ireland. The fantastic weather we had in 2020 particularly in early spring during lockdown 1.0 saw so many customers using Slipfree® in their gardens when the patio or decking became hot and slippery when the paddling pool was out and with the increase in the number of people with artificial grass, Slipfree® were a god-send as the grass can get pretty hot to walk on! We are delighted that more customers got to experience Slipfree® in many more places last year and we know that when holidays abroad resume, it will help our customers see even more the unbelievable value of these little shoes!’

‘Putting on some uplifting tunes, a glass of something delicious, followed by eating your weight in cheese is hard to beat!’
What plans do you have for 2021?
‘We are excited at Slipfree® for 2021 as we believe life will start to return to normal as the vaccine is rolled out rapidly and hopefully just in time as the weather starts to warm up! We believe people’s desire to holiday and spend time with friends & family somewhere different will be very strong plus the ability to be able to travel and see the world again will be No 1 on the list of things to do first! We launched a beautiful range of matching UPF 50+ swimwear in 2020 which we are excited for more customers to see and we have some amazing new Slipfree® prints launching soon in both shoes and swimwear which we can’t wait to reveal!’
