We are so delighted to share some lovely news, our friends at Glynn Barton, and their amazing award-winning farm-stay in Cornwall, have been nominated for a Visit England award this year, for The Best Self Catering in England. The winner will be announced on 8th June. Good Luck Pippa, James and their lovely family – you’ve got this!
In the past, Glynn Barton have won a Gold award for the Best Self Catering at the Cornwall Tourism Awards and also received a Bronze at the South West Tourism Awards for Self Catering.


Would you like to learn a little bit more about these multi award winning cottages…
There are a total of eight 18th century cottages, set in 13 acres of woodland in the Heart of Cornwall, near Bodmin. They are all self-catering and well equipped for families with young children, perfect for all year round stays with cosy living rooms and log burners. New to 2021, are two luxury glamping lodges, also fully equipped and have been very popular so far.



That’s not all on offer at Glynn Barton, the farm-stay, has of course, some friendly residents who always love a visit from inquisitive tots and their families . There are two Wallabies, Merv & Shane, Donkeys, Sebastian & Sweep who love a carrot or two and Alpacas Bert & Ernie, who like to jump in and out of their paddock. Then of course the sheep, pigs, goats & chickens who lay fresh eggs every morning ready for guests to take back to their cottages for some eggy breakfast.



And when you want a break from the animals and other wildlife, there are lots of gardens and woods to explore, head to the nature trail or get messy in the Den Building and Bug Hotel area. Playtime is also a big hit here as they have so much on offer, outdoor giant fort where kids can let off some steam and even a maze for getting lost in over and over again. Toddlers will love whizzing around in the mini tractors or having a little play in the toddler-friendly park with nest swings, pirate boats and slide or building sand castles in the sand pit!



Glynn Barton also TICKS the boxes for when families need a break from being outdoors or if its raining. There is an indoor heated swimming pool, indoor soft play for active tots and a play barn full of toys, books and puzzles that can also be borrowed for a cosy night in one of the cottages.


Here are a few extras not to be missed… There is a little shop onsite where guests can enjoy some of the best local produce, from Ice cream, fudges and treats to local Ales, ciders and home made frozen meals. Glynn Barton RECEIVE twice weekly deliveries from Baker Tom that include fresh bread, croissants and scones. All the things that you need for an easy night in!
Adults can have a little pamper time in their own cottages too, enjoy a facial or massage with Carole and to top it off for something really special, enjoy a nice private dining experience from Angels in the Kitchen. However, if families like getting a little messy and creative, they can head to the pizza point to make yummy pizzas with other families staying at Glynn Barton.

Cornwall is a stunning place to visit with so many family-friendly attractions on offer. Local beautiful beaches on the North coast, within easy reach of Glynn Barton, a few of their favourites being Daymer Bay, lots of rock pools, perfect for those little ones. Rock and Polzeath too. Lots of cycle and walking routes right from the farm itself and further afield is the wonderful Fowey, a little fishing village, Lost Garden of Heligan & The Eden Project.
