We talk a lot at Holiday Tots about what there is to do for babies and toddlers, so this time we thought we would switch it up and highlight what there is to do for the adults, the mummies and daddies, older siblings, aunts and uncles, grandparents and carers too. After all we all need a break!
Restaurants & bar
Love a good meal? Well, you are spoilt for choice here at Shanti Maurice, there is a collection of fab restaurants offering different cuisines, French, Indian, Asian, Thai, Arabic and even truly authentic Mauritian. They are in beautiful areas within the resort, some offering stunning ocean views.
Feel your ‘feet-in-the-sand’ and enjoy a dining experience under the stars on the beach listening to the waves of the lagoon. During the day for lunch try the Fish Market and an unforgettable dinner experience on the beach at the BBQ Grill Buffet or special beach dinner menus on selected days.
If you are looking for an alternative menu you can even meet up with the chef who will be happy to cook meals to your liking during your stay.
There are a number of bars within the resort. The Rum Shed, bar and grill, with its shabby chic feel, for rum lovers, with a large outdoor cinema right next door, so the kids can watch a film while you enjoy a little fun too. The Rum Shed offer a la carte menu with a variety of BBQ and grilled specialities and different themed nights. The Red Ginger bar is the perfect place for a pre-dinner cocktail or night cap with views overlooking the infinity pool and beyond, the Indian Ocean.




Shanti Spa
Built around two enchanting tea pavilions, surrounded by lily ponds and indigenous flowers, a sensational beautiful feeling when having a treatment at the Shanti Spa. There are 25 treatment rooms with trained masseurs and spa therapists, alongside personal trainers and an Ayurvedic Doctor all available to help encourage optimum health and wellbeing.
There is also a couples therapy suite, relaxation room, spa treatment rooms, beauty salon with rooms for facials, manicures and pedicures.
There are even 2 yoga pavilions, outdoor spa pool and adjacent jacuzzi.
If yoga is your think there are a number of different yoga classes on offer such as, aerial yoga, hot yoga, SUP yoga and floating yoga. Meditation and Pilates.
Yoga at Shanti is pure and traditional in form, stemming from the roots of Hatha Yoga.

There is a weekly programme at Shanti highlighting weekly events so guests do not miss out on all the fun! It can be downloaded via the Shanti App or on the TV in the accommodation.

Library
Are you a bit of a book worm? The library is spacious and with a relaxed atmosphere. It offers a number of books as well as international newspapers and magazines. There are even iMac computers to browse on.

Doesn’t it all sound like a dream come true in a stunning location with so much to do for everyone. As we have been heavy on what there is to do for the adults let’s just quickly go over the Kids club…
The kids club is broken down into age group:
Globetrotters : 4 months to 2 years (extra rate charge applies)
Adventurers : 3 years to 4 years
Voyagers : 5 years to 7 years
Pioneers : 8 years to 11 years
There is a weekly kids activities program crammed with fun-filled activities which include, kids yoga, flower making, musical games and face painting. There is a toddler’s pool, games room and play station.
Kids club is open from 10am until 10pm. The children can lunch/dinner all together while they are being looked after.
In all the restaurants they provide an extensive kids menu. There is also a ‘kids table’ daily at 12:30pm at lunch and then at 6:30pm for dinner In the Stars restaurant.



Whenever I reread over what there is to do at Shanti Maurice and how magical it all sounds, it always makes me want to go!
