Last year the fabulous bloggers (Annie from Mammasaurus, Tanya from Mummy Barrow and Penny from Alexander Residence) had a master plan: to relay from Land’s End to John O’Groats for Comic Relief using the steam and energy of bloggers throughout the UK. Their target: to raise £10,000 for Comic Relief. This year they are doing it again and have raised the stakes to £20,000! So I am proud to be one of over 150 bloggers and their families and friends helping make this happen. For six weeks and 3000 miles, bloggers in the UK will unite around the country starting in Cornwall on the 12th January finally finishing on 23rd March in John O’Groats.
I am very excited to say that I am taking part in the London leg of the relay. Over 40 of us will be honking around London on the 5th February following a Monopoly theme – our very own Honkopoly! After relieving Steph from Steph’s Two Girls and Hannah from Muddling Along Mummy of the baton we will head off around London visiting all the colours of the Monopoly board and we might be dressed accordingly too – watch this space… We will travel by foot, bike, train, tube and bus in true London style before passing the baton on in Fleet for 6th Feb.
Bloggers so far taking part in the London Honkopoly are:
Vanessa from HPMcQ, Sophie from Franglaise Mummy , Sarah from Grenglish, Swazi from Chocolate is not the only fruit, Alison from Not Another Mummy Blog, Jennifer from Jenography, Gillian from A Baby on Board, Rosie from Mummy and Boo, Gretta from Mums Do Travel, Julia from I Carried a Watermelon, Stephanie from Was This In The Plan?, Nimmo, Jacinta from Jacintaz3, Maria aka @maniasmama3, Sachelle from Holiday Tots (that’s me!:)) Maggy from RedTedArt and Loved by Parents.
The very kind guys at Micro Scooters have offered me a Scooter to use for the day and we will be auctioning it after the event. Thank you Micro Scooters!
