North Hayne Farm is a beautiful family-friendly farm stay in North Devon and they have just scooped the North Devon Business Leisure and Tourism Award for Best Accommodation Providers 2019! Well done guys!!!
There are eight self-catering holiday cottages in total, all with private hot tubs, perfect for families with young children looking for a holiday in Devon.

What is so great about this amazing farm (other than the fun-loving animals) is the fact they really do cater for everyone, including children with Autism and other needs. As they would say ‘’understanding individual needs allows us to create successful experiences’’, which in our eyes is spot on.
North Hayne Farm welcome families with little ones who have additional needs, aiming to give you the best holiday experience.

We know it can be hard for little ones to be away from home, being out of their regular routine can put them on edge, hey we can get like that as adults too. To help with nervous tots and adults, owners Cheryl and Roger, have put together a lovely daily schedule chart guests can pick up from the farm reception, to help add visual structure to the day which can help children to communicate a little easier.
Cheryl and Roger are also skilled in sign language and have their own visual aid cards, with the sole aim of helping children feel as comfortable as possible.

It doesn’t stop there; although there is a structured animal feeding routine to follow, they are also happy to adapt schedules to suit particular needs. Providing a one-to-one experience if this works better and will ensure there are no loud noises when meeting and feeding the animals. Little ones can even enjoy a morning donkey ride if they feel comfortable, again timings to suit. Stroking and talking to the animals can be very therapeutic and reduce stress levels and is a fabulous way to boost confidence too.

Jeremy Fisher, one of the eight self-catering cottages at North Hayne Farm, is a new accessible holiday cottage. It has five bedrooms and plenty of room for extended families and carers throughout their stay. Children and adults with limited mobility can access the farm more easily with wider pathways and room to turn around and the ground floor is large enough for wheelchairs.
So why not pop along to North Hayne Farm a wonderful family friendly farm-stay in north Devon and meet the two Alpacas, Cocoa and Latte, goats, Bramble, Pepper, Blackberry and Crumble, their vain pigs, Wilbur and Truffle, and all the other farmyard friends; ducks, chickens, donkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs and not forgetting the sheep – phew! there really is a loving animal for everyone to feed, pet or have a little chinwag with.
