I got in touch with My Babiie earlier this year as I was interested in reviewing the X4 compact stroller and seeing how it fared against some of the other travel buggies I have reviewed. They were kind enough to send us one just in time for baby Elsie’s first family holiday.
At 7 months old – Sammy, Mark, Lily and baby Elsie were off on their first holiday as a family of 4. They were very excited to try out the X4 Compact stroller and loved the idea of it being so light and small. From the moment they took it out of the box it was simple – just click the 2 back wheels on and you’re good to go. The buggy comes with a rain cover, cup holder and travel bag as standard.
SOME OTHER FEATURES:
* Super lightweight at 5.8 kgs
* Extendable hood with sun visor
* Padded 5 joint harness
* Full Recline and foot rest
* Shopping basket
* Shoulder carry strap
* Suitable from birth up to 15 kgs
Mum Sammy loved how easy the stroller was to push. The only slightly negative thing she could think of was when bring the back rest up from the reclined position, you really do need 2 hands, one to push the back up and one to pull the cord. Elsie must have loved it too as she fell asleep in it numerous times.
These strollers are brilliant at airports, or anywhere really that is crowded. You can secure the little one in the buggy, they’re so easy to push you can do it with one hand and get from A to B easily. When folded, the X4 stroller is 60cm x 25cm x 46cm so may even be able to pass as hand luggage and go in the over head locker of your airline (please check before you fly).
Upon their return, I thought I would try the X4 with my 3 year old Georgia on a shopping trip. She is at that stage where she wants to walk and be independent so I was very shocked to see her want to jump in right away. She loved the footrest and the bar over her waist – I don’t know if it was a one off, but I was able to get in and out of the shops quickly without her running off, which is always a bonus.
This stroller retails at £69.99 which I think is extremely reasonable for a very practical travel buggy. It fared well after a 10 day holiday (and was checked in twice – you know how those baggage handlers manhandle your stuff) so I really would recommend it. You can get your own X4 Compact Stroller here. If you’re not keen on the blue – keep an eye out on the My Babiie Social Media pages as they are due to release 2 new colours / patterns very soon.
