We were sent a Kånken Mini to review – Georgia has been using it for a few weeks and loves it. It is the perfect size for her (she’s 3 years old) as it fits a change of clothes, some snacks, toys and a drink and isn’t too heavy for her to carry on her own.

The Kånken Mini is a scaled down version of the Kånken backpack which was created in 1978 to help prevent kids in Sweden getting back problems. The Shoulder straps are long and adjustable which means its prefect for kids but also for adults if they’re after a small backpack. My sister in law sent me this picture from one of her many festivals last year – it seems both the Kånken and the Kånken mini are a firm favourite with festival goers too!
The backpack is made from a hardwearing Vinylon Fabric which is great for kids – its quick drying and water resistant. One thing I really liked was the removable seat pad. It fits in the inside back packet which stops your belongings from poking into your back. I personally love the top handles to be able to grab it easily on the go. There is a name and address label on the inside making it perfect for a school bag.
Georgia loved taking her Kånken Mini to ballet – she loved how she could put one ballet shoe in each side pocket. Its a very trendy bag and she got a lot of compliments about it. The quality is excellent and I do feel it will last well.
