Gitcombe House is a stunning manor house located on the family-friendly estate in the some of Devon’s most beautiful countryside. The estate is full of luxiourious 4 and 5 star beautiful self-catering and family friendly holiday cottages offering fab facilities for all.
The manor house is the largest of them all, this 5 star Georgian home with its original sash windows and shutters is the perfect size for a multi-generational holiday as well as being the perfect accommodation for a family celebration. There are six bedrooms in total, sleeping 13 plus babies in cots.
The kitchen is a generous size with ample space for catering for large family groups and prefect for mornings to have breakfast as and when guests please. The dining room is just stunning with an elegant feel, actually, the whole house has an elegant feel but it is a great place to dress up and enjoy a formal dinner with loved ones.
A fab enclosed garden at the front of the house with a beautiful lawn and flowers. The rear garden is a perfect spot to have a BBQ with its wooden dining table and chairs overlooking the grounds.
Gitcombe Estate, like I said previously has everything anyone could possible need. Adults, there is a fab indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room to relax and recharge. There is also a hot tub with countryside views and a terrace just outside the indoor pool area or how about a spot of tennis. Children, obviously will no doubt enjoy splashing around in the indoor and outdoor swimming pool but there is also an outdoor adventure play park and an indoor soft play area.
Out and about, there are a number of countryside walks right on Gitcombe’s doorstep, with a route that will lead guests to a family-friendly local pub. The area is also brilliant for active runners who can enjoy a nice morning run before they start their day. Positioned so close to Devon’s coastline and beaches and not forgetting the pretty seaside towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth.
Peter, Emma and the Team at Gitcombe really want guests to feel relaxed and at home. They work tirelessly hoping that everyone will have a special experience when staying here. They are on hand throughout guests stay and are happy to organise catering saving anyone having to cook, arrange a shop to be delivered before arrival, decorate the house and cottages for any special events and even get spa treatments arranged. They have great knowledge of local walks and attractions so they really are quite perfect hosts.
