A while back we booked tickets to Summer Evenings in Paradise for last Friday. We were very much looking forward to visiting as we hadn’t visited for a while. We used to be annual members when my daughter was younger but now that she’s in school we don’t get to visit much. Firstly I would like to say how impressed I was with all the improvements that have been made recently. The new ‘Land of the Tigers’ is amazing. We also loved the new dinosaurs and as we were visiting early evening, it was a totally different experience.

We entered and went straight to the safari stage which was very festive. There were dinosaurs the kids could meet, food stalls, giant bubbles or why not take a ride on the Rex Express (this costs £2 pp extra). To get you into the mood, there are ice cream carts for the kids and Pimms carts for the adults. Live Music and Face Painting too. There really is something for everyone, that is on top of all the animals.

We then decided to go for a walk and see some animals, via the Face Painting ladies who were brilliant, this is included in the price of your ticket. Juliet Eve are award winning were taking requests – nothing phased them (half leopard, half zebra, T-Rex, Flamingo just to name a few) and the results were excellent – my daughters lasted until Sunday morning, she was very sad to see it go.
We headed to the Land of The Tigers as we handn’t seen it before and the kids loved watching the fish. The smells coming out of Bamboo Kitchen were amazing and my husband grabbed a meal which he said was very tasty.
Walking around the park were the African Drummers and stilt walkers which the kids loved and created a really nice atmosphere.
All in all, this was a fun, different night out. The perfect night out for the family. My daughter is almost 6 and just loved staying up past her bed time in one of her favourite places. I would highly recommend a visit – don’t delay as they’re only open Fridays and Saturdays until 23 July.
