”Family friendly farm holidays with something for everyone in the family ! We offer the perfect holiday to come and make some treasured lasting memories.
We can’t believe it’s twenty years since we finished converting our derelict barn and started welcoming families with budding `mini farmers ‘. Some of whom have turned into much bigger farmers now ! The farm has grown during that time with lots more animals and bigger and better facilities. Most guests are surprised at what great facilities we have, most of which you would only expect to find on a much bigger complex, rather than just two cottages.
We are situated between the market town of South Molton `The Gateway to Exmoor ‘ and the pretty village of Chittlehampton, which has a great family friendly local pub. Our small farm is situated in the middle of beautiful countryside. The barn conversion is in the middle of the farmyard surrounded by fields where all our friendly farm animals live. The `upside down ‘ properties were converted from a 17th century stone barn which used to be used as stables and a cider barn (hence the names of our cottages !) and still maintain a wealth of the original features. The barn has a light , contemporary, interior and has been divided into two – The Stables which sleeps 6 and The Cider Barn which sleeps 4. Both cottages can be booked together giving larger families and groups of friends the chance to holiday together having all our facilities to themselves. The upstairs interconnecting door can be unlocked, and the decking partition is taken down to make one large deck with a table big enough to seat the whole group for `Al Fresco ‘ dining. Our self-catering cottages are fully child friendly with everything from plug covers and stairgates to window catches and changing mats ! They are both fully equipped and even have a few touches you might not expect like a cream tea on arrival!
The focus of holidays at North Bradbury is ‘family friendly with lots of `hands on’ time helping Farmer Chris with his morning feed runs’. Our farm animals are very friendly making them ideal for even the youngest or most nervous guests to feed, cuddle or stroke !
As well as helping Farmer Chris there are a lot of other things to do. We have a heated pool , three play areas – an adventure playground, wilderness area and farmyard play area and ten acres to explore. As well as keeping the children happy we have a farm shop – stocked with essentials, frozen meals from the COOK range and local produce including barbie bits and massages can be booked to keep the grown – ups busy !
Off the farm there is also lots to do. We are located just a ten – minute drive from The North Devon link road giving you easy access to explore Exmoor National Park and the beautiful, award – winning beaches, `picture perfect’ villages and the many attractions that the area has to offer.
We live on site and always have time for our guests and are happy to share all our favourite places to visit, give directions or just have a chat. Preferably over a glass or two !
